Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Sun, 15 Mar 2015

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Brampton, ON(took 5 days)
Applied Online. Got a call the next day and had to complete an application at home to bring to the assessment interview. Did a couple assessments, met with a nice lady who did a basic interview and talked about the position. Went back to the waiting room and did more assessments. Got called in to speak to two disinterested ladies who asked the same questions but in a more aggressive manner.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Mon, 16 Mar 2015

Interviewed Feb 2014 in Waukegan, IL(took 30 days)
Took two skills assessment exams and a "going through the motions" face to face interview. After two interviews they said that they were not going to be filling the positions at this time. However, 8 moths later, they are still advertising the same jobs and have been for all 8 months. Either they are not in a hurry or they are posting them for other reasons. I was more than qualified for both positions but didn't get either one. When I asked for clarification on why they weren't interested in me for the job, they wouldn't retun my calls or answer my emails. As a job hunter, I wanted to get some insight into what they thought of me but they blew me off.

Interviewed Mar 2015(took 2 days)
I had sent my resume in and got a call back. They set up a phone interview and sent me four tests which include a writing sample, a couple personality tests, and sales related scenario questions. Not that difficult just time consuming. The phone interview went well and then two days later received a rejection email. So much for my ten year stint with my previous company.

starts with answering a bunch of assessment questions. Seven to be precise. After that you go to the Uline Warehouse where you right two arithmetic questions and followed by a personal interview lasting about 15 minutes. If you make it, you are scheduled for a phone interview where they go through your resume analyzing tiny details.

Very Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Sat, 21 Mar 2015

Interviewed Oct 2014 in Kenosha, WI(took 42 days)
Horrific. Cleared laboriously by contractor group, after filling out 3 different qualifying documents and performing 3 standard (to the company) employment tests, I interviewed for senior level position with lowest level HR then shut down due to contracting background. Entire process was 2.5 hours and was utterly pointless.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Tue, 24 Mar 2015

Interviewed Jan 2015 in Milwaukee, WI(took 7 days)
I only met with an HR person who could not answer any of my questions which were very specific to the job i was interviewing for. Prior to the interview they had me complete four on-line assessments dealing with writing and personality tests. When I arrived for the interview I had to do a number identifying timed test which was ridiculous considering the job I was applying for. I know I was very qualified for this job and wonder what their reason was to not have me actually interview with someone who works in the specific department I was applying for. It seemed to me that the HR person was not qualified to make an assessment of my qualifications.

Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Wed, 25 Mar 2015

Interviewed Sep 2014 in Pleasant Prairie, WI(took 8 days)
The interview process moved along very quickly. I applied to an entry level marketing role as I was getting ready to graduate come December. I received a call from HR the very next day looking to schedule an interview. I interviewed the following Friday and it was a complete waste of time. I was there for a whole 15-20 minutes. The guy interviewing me couldn't care less. He wasn't engaging or interested at all, he just simply read the questions off of a sheet of paper. I'm not really sure if he already had in mind who he wanted to hire or if it was because it was a Friday afternoon or what the deal was but it was a complete waste of time for the both of us.

Interview Questions
Nothing out of the ordinary. I just answered questions from the sheet of paper. Very little room for engagement or non-scripted interaction.

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Colorado Springs, CO(took 5 days)
The interview was a phone interview that lasted five minutes. The interviewer put me at ease and was able to relate to my answers. It was very informal and I am now waiting for an update for a possible second interview. Knowing about the company's background, before the interview was very helpful. Reviewing the salary for a particular job is also helpful. Taking my time to slow down and answer the questions, helped to ease the nervousness, even though it was a phone interview.

Before an applicant could get an interview, the applicants are required to go through initial testing and assessments which Glassdoor reviews are vague. I think even if you're applying for warehouse, customer service they have the standard sales questions.

Interviewed Feb 2015 in San Jose, CA(took 30 days)
Beware...if a job is posted on job boards and it has been listed for several weeks or months, they are likely NOT going to hire for the position. The interview consists of a math and grammar aptitude test and then one or more face to face interviews. I applied for two positions that were posted more than 60 days and it both cases they ran me through the multiple interview process and then said thanks but no thanks. In fact, that was more than 90 days ago and those jobs are still posted on line. One job has been posted for 8 months! Don't waste your time applying for any of these "old" jobs.

Very Easy Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Thu, 2 Apr 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Buford, GA(took 14 days)
Apply online, basic requirements are a bachelor's degree and working in a high-pace environment. Will contact and set up a in-person interview along with two assessments. Then will do typical in-person interview questions. All the other reviews are right, Uline keeps this position up and does not hire anyone. Even with a employee referral, they will not hire anyone that meets the basic requirements of the job. Recommend not wasting your time on going through the process. Not one to post reviews but this was necessary and I recommend anyone to find a better company that has a better process. STAY AWAY.

Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Fri, 3 Apr 2015

Interviewed Feb 2015 in Pleasant Prairie, WI(took 21 days)
I applied online and was contacted about a week later. Was brought in for an interview with a woman in HR that was pretty general in terms of questions. Strengths, weaknesses, etc. About a week after that I was brought back in and went through a series of three interviews with a pricing analyst, a director of merchandise and director of pricing. These questions were similar to the initial interview with a focus on the job.

The interview process was very quick for me because I found out very quickly they don't have any interest in people over 40. The interview was just a courtesy...short and sweet. There were no questions since they had no interest in me. Of course, I was not chosen for another interview.

Interviewed null -1
Applied online and on the same day got a call for an interview roughly 2 weeks later. On the day of the interview, around 30 people showed up, and regardless of what we applied for, everyone started their interview process with 2 simple, timed math tests. After those 2 tests, each person was invited for a 1 on 1 interview. The interviewer was very pleasant and didn't ask anything out of the ordinary. After that interview, those who were selected for the next selection process, had to do a spelling and typing speed test. All 4 tests were pretty simple. When the second set of tests were finished, I interviewed with 2 people who seemed very disinterested in the whole event. They pretty much asked the exact same questions as the first interview. When that ended, I was told they would e-mail about the next step of the selection process. Couple of days later, got an email saying they are going with someone else.

Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Wed, 8 Apr 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Brampton, ON(took 6 days)
4 assessmets sent via email 5 days before the interview, very tricky ones (2 for personality, 1 for sales skill and a writing test). 2 short on site tests minutes before the interview. 20+ interviewees. Seems they were trying to finish the whole thing as fast as they can, for I saw at least 6 interviewers, wearing all different kinds of uniforms. The interview itself had nothing special, routine questioins. My interviewer was wearing warehouse uniform and definitely not from HR. Everything went quite well. 5 days later, a email came in saying they passed on me. No surprise from what I read from other reviews about this hiring session at Uline. They are now still hiring!

Very Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Thu, 9 Apr 2015

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Auburn, WA(took 7 days)
They called me within 5 minutes of me submitting an online application through one of the online job boards. After a short call with the recruiter, they wanted to see me in 2 days, but required that I fill out about 4 hours of assessments that I had to take at home. When I arrived for my interview, there were 3 more assessments -- I felt like I was interviewing in the dark ages - really -- it had been more years than I want to admit since that was required of me. Once I passed those assessments, they sent in a junior recruiter to go over my resume. After a 9 hour investment of my time, they sent me a canned email. Now, how much respect are you going to get at this company?

Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Sat, 11 Apr 2015

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Buford, GA(took 21 days)
The interview process was definitely one of the most thorough I have ever experienced. I was contacted the morning after I applied and set a time for the interview the following week. Prior to the interview you are required to fill out multiple tests and forms, none of which are difficult. The interview process takes place in the form of a group interview consisting of another 2 additional tests followed by 1 on 1 interviews with HR. My first interview went well and was asked to wait around for 15 min afterwards for a second interview with two of the warehouse managers. The second interview was the more key interview of the two and was very direct and straightforward. Afterwards I was offered a tour of their facility and discussed the program further during the tour. After the tour I was told I would be contacted later in the week regarding the interview process and was contacted again by HR only a day or two after, at which point I was scheduled for a third interview with the distribution manager for the facility and given an additional two tests to fill out and return. The third interview went well (it was an opportunity for the distribution manager to meet the WMT candidates face to face in order to make his final decision on hiring) and I heard back from HR about a week later with an offer for the position. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Interview Questions
All interview questions are pretty straightforward and basic: what do you know about the company, why do you want to work here, what qualities do you possess that make you a qualified candidate, and so on.
