Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Sat, 11 Apr 2015

Interviewed null -1 in Toronto, ON(took 14 days)
First it was job fair of about 30 people. We all sat in a room together and took some timed math tests.Once all the tests were marked, the people who made the cut stayed back to do some more computer tests like typing, spelling, etc. Then I got interviewed by the HR Manager, the branch manager and the CSR Supervisor. I did do a side-by-side to see what it would be like. I went home, and they sent me some MS Office tests, and some personality tests. I heard back after a week. Very rigorous process.

Interview Questions
Very general questions about my previous educational and work history. Asked about my strengths and weaknesses. Also gave some scenario questions. to see how I would handle pressure.

Average Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Wed, 15 Apr 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Kenosha, WI(took 7 days)
Applied and a couple days later received a phone call from HR to come in for an interview. I had to take two online personality tests (went fast, one was about 75 Qs and the other was 28 Qs), one test which to me seemed like it was for Sales (50Qs), and one written test (short hand) - ALL before I even stepped in the place. Then once there I had to take two more timed assessment tests 4 mins each, one was a # sequence (2,4,6,?,?), the other was a match the numbers (696691 and 696961). After that I finally met with the HR Recruiter. He was very nice and asked some questions about what I did, how much I made now, my schooling, etc. He had a very laid back vibe.

Interview Questions
Tell me about your work history? Why do you want to leave your current role? How much do you make now and what do you except to make? more questions about school. No questions about what would you do in this situation,.... Maybe that was for the next round.

Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Wed, 22 Apr 2015

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Pleasant Prairie, WI(took 56 days)
For the amount of time involved in this interview process it did move very quickly. However, there are many steps involved. Here was my process: Phone screening from HR, multiple online tests and paperwork to fill out, in person onsite interview in Milwaukee preceded by additional testing. After I made it through those rounds of interviews, I was invited to an onsite interview in Pleasant Prairie but had to complete three additional skills testing online before attending. I then had 3 separate 1:1 interviews (totaling about 2.5 hours). I was told that if they liked me then they would review my test results before making a final decision. All final hiring decisions have to be approved by the president. If I hadn't received an offer it would have been pretty frustrating considering the HOURS of testing, driving, and interviewing put in. Though I did not accept the offer, I was told post acceptance it would be at least another week of waiting to clear a background check, reference check, and drug test. All of the people I met were really great; it's just the hiring process that doesn't create a great first impression.

Interviewed null -1
They have a large HR Dept. and I was first taken into a room to take several assessment tests which seemed more apt for clerical personnel. There was no heads up that this was to occur and came as a surprise. I asked why there was so many supply chain roles constantly advertised for Uline and the HR rep sheepishly told me their approach is to constantly advertise for roles at different levels when no job exists to try and cherry pick people for jobs that might come up in the future. I stated that was odd and asked her if she thought that was ethical; she seemed to believe that approach was insincere. The company should change their name to U Lyin' i/o Uline.

Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Fri, 1 May 2015

Interviewed Mar 2015 in Buford, GA(took 42 days)
I applied online through Indeed.com and received a call back a few weeks later. The Human Resources representative scheduled a phone interview for the following week that went well and I was told at the end of the phone call that they would like to schedule an in person interview on-site in Buford, GA. There were two number assessments that were fairly easy, pattern recognition and marking matching or mismatching number sets. They also had me sit for about 10-15 minutes with a Customer Service Representative and listen to her take calls. If I were to ever work a call center, this would be one of the places I would choose. The space was clean and the callers were friendly (most of their clientele are business owners). The interview itself didn't go as well as I had hoped. I was a panel interview of three people. Two of them were very nice but didn't not speak as often as the third woman. While I don't have a problem explaining myself further or elaborating, her questions came off as very confrontational. Overall, however, it was a positive experience and the pay ($18/hour, full time) was decent. Benefits package is great and the bonuses and PTO they offer are competitive. The only reason I didn't take the offer is because I have higher salaried options on the table.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – Yes, but I declined – Mon, 4 May 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Pleasant Prairie, WI(took 14 days)
Senior manager gave a great interview, but team leader was uninterested, fidgety and quiet until the end of the interview when she spouted off about her work! The senior manager had a look of complete surprise and shock on her face. I had to go through 2 interviews and many, many personality and competency tests before they would even tell me about the position, complete waste of time.

Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Mon, 4 May 2015

Interviewed May 2015 in Pleasant Pr, WI(took 7 days)
After taking an assessment, filling out another questionnaire, and submitting a writing sample, I was told that they wanted to interview me. Show up to the interview and have to take two 4 minute timed tests (wonderlic) that involve finding a pattern in numbers and the other has a long list of paired numbers and you have to put a check mark next to the ones that are identical. Finally after this the interview started. The lady read the most common interview questions right off the page and wasn't looking for anything more than that. Didn't even mention the position until I asked about it and even then didn't even talk about it, she side tracked to the department and this lead in to her talking about the company as a whole. She even said she really had nothing to do with the selection process and most of it is weighted from the assessments and test you take (all occur before you even sit down with someone).

Interviewed null -1 in Gurnee, IL
3 hours long!!. They started with 3 different set of timed tests. Each had to be completed within 4 minutes and it was all about accuracy and speed of answering the right questions. Interviewed with 3 different people. I was disappointed that this position had nothing to do with tax or accounting or finance. They made up the position and basically, I didn't get asked one finance or accounting related question.

The process included two personality tests, a writing sample, and two additional math/logic tests when arriving at the facility. They have a strong culture of 'conformity'. Shirts and ties required every day in the office. Warehouse employees wear uniforms. Clean desk policy. Great place, but they are looking for a certain personality.

Average Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Mon, 11 May 2015

Interviewed Feb 2015 in Brampton, ON(took 2 days)
Went in for a 'job fair' type setting, among 15-20 other applicants, was asked to fill out paperwork beforehand. You are put into a room all together to do a couple of timed tests (matching, filling in the blanks for numbered patterns) which are about 4 minutes long each. Once that is done you are called one by one to be interviewed by a manager. Had the face-to-face interview, then was asked to wait and come back for a typing and spelling test. Was then told to wait for another face to face interview with 2 reps from HR. Overall it was a lot of waiting, and a long day. Some of the questions were too personal for my liking, ie. what you make at current job, where you live, how you will be getting there, etc. It was a bit 'cult-like', very strict dress code even for call centre. Also, the call centre was not located in the building that the interview was held.

Easy Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Thu, 14 May 2015

Interviewed May 2015 in Brampton, ON(took 3 days)
Applied on the 10th, received a call on the 11th and was told to print out application and consent forms to bring to the job fair on the 14th (today). Came into the location (In Brampton) at the registration desk, signed in and there were already 9-10 people there. After I handed in my application to the clerk, we were invited to sit in the lunch area maybe after 5-10mins. There were two workers there that then explained we had to do 2 numerical tests that were 4 minutes in length. - The first consisted of a pair of numbers and they were either identical or not. You had to then check-mark the "SAME" column to state the numbers were both the same, or to leave it blank if they weren't. Maybe 60 questions worth. Found myself done early with a some seconds to spare to look over answers. Really easy. - The second assessment was there being a series of 6 numbers and you had to determine the next two numbers in that series.. maybe 30 questions worth? Example: 1,1,3,3,5,5 the next two numbers would be 7,7. Finished right on time, after I stumbled with 2 questions, but still really easy. Waited maybe 3-5mins before they started calling us for interviews. I believe I was interviewed by an HR manager and a Senior Manager, although the HR manager (a nice woman) did more of the talking. She asked relatively easy questions about my past work experiences, what I wanted in life and where I saw myself in 5 years. Whole process took a little bit more than an hour. I remember hearing some other potential hires saying how they've never done an interview like this before and it was strange. I agree with them. The female interviewer said that I'd be contacted through email in a few days as to whether I got the position or not.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Tue, 26 May 2015

Interviewed Dec 2013 in Allentown, PA(took 14 days)
It was evident that the company is more aligned with interviewing for low level positions rather than head of facilities. The interview started with a series of basic skills tests to weed out those who can't read or count. I've never been subjected to that anywhere else when applying for management positions. The interview continued as if they were hiring warehouse help.

Interview Questions
They were very concerned that I lived an hour from their facility. They were uneasy with my salary history so I read into it that they couldn't match my requirements.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Sat, 30 May 2015

Interviewed Sep 2014 in Waukegan, IL(took 60 days)
Everyone who applies here gets an interview, & you can interview once time every six months. HR will send you a copy of multiple tests and personality quizzes that you need to send back before you arrive. Once you arrive you are given more timed quizzes before you even speak with someone. A HR rep will speak with you and ask generic questions. Then, if they like you, you will speak with a manager. I was called back for a second interview a few weeks into the future. They scheduled that and ended up canceling it the morning of and rescheduling. I went in for the second interview and spoke with two more managers and a branch manager. They also give you the opportunity to watch one of the representatives work at their desk for a short time to see what the call center looks like.

Very Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Mon, 1 Jun 2015

Interviewed null -1(took 9 days)
They called me in under 12 hours of applying for the job online. They have an initial phone screen then email you several assessments; writing, typing, and sales to do before you get a phone interview. After the phone interview you schedule an on site interview and they email you nearly 4 hours of forms to fill out and assessments to take: Excel, Access, Word, Typing, and Writing. You arrive at the interview and do 2 more 1 minute number puzzles. After that you sit with someone in collections for a bit then have the interview. They don't tell you until you show up that the job starts in collections for a year before you may have the chance to get the job you actually applied for. I cant believe I wasted my time on this place. You guys owe me $200 for the time wasted with you.
