You will have to take multiple assessments throughout the interviewing process. They take the results very seriously. Your first interview will be with an HR recruiter. Mine was a very nice gentleman. This interview is nothing out of the ordinary. He will ask about job experience, your resume, strengths/weaknesses, and other things of that nature. Lasted about 45 minutes including wait time and timed evaluations at the office. If you make it past the first round interview you will be meeting with 4 current employees of the company. I was scheduled to interview with a marketing coordinator, 2 product managers, and a merchandising manager. At the end of talking to the last interviewer he asked if I could speak with a senior product manager. I said I could, so that left me talking with 5 people. The first round of interviews consisted of two ladies (product manager & marketing coordinator). They asked normal questions, but were more in-depth than the first interview. The same followed for the next three men I talked to. It was basically the same talking points with 5 different people. Nothing was too out of the ordinary.

Very Easy Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Thu, 7 Aug 2014

Interviewed null -1(took 3 weeks)
Got a call next day after applying for the position. Had a group interview the following week. We took two wonderlic tests, and then were called individually to interview with an HR employee. Interview was very standard Everyone interviewed with a different person, so I'm not sure what the process was to determine who moved on to the second round of interviews. Received a call the next day to set up a one-on-one interview for the next week. They sent four tests, three of which were standard personality type tests, with a longer sales inventory test. At the second interview, was asked to complete a spelling and typing test, for a total of eight tests throughout the process. The second interview was with a department manager, and was fairly informal and just as straightforward as the first interview. Was told I would be contacted in 5-10 days. Some complain about the number of tests, and while eight might be a bit excessive, wonderlic tests and the like are in vogue and the tests are not exactly difficult and with the exception of the sales inventory they are not time consuming at all. Overall, the interview process was perhaps a little drawn out considering it was not intensive and was very standard, it was not as egregious as others have made it out to be.

Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Fri, 8 Aug 2014

Interviewed null -1 in Ontario, CA(took 1 week)
I am SO GLAD that I read all of the information on glass door. Like others said, the interview process is very extensive. My interview was for 8:30, and I showed up around 8:25. There were about 50 or so people waiting, and I was informed that they conduct these job fairs every Friday. They interview for all positions during these fairs, so there were people from the warehouse, customer service, etc. They first began by giving a numbers matching and number pattern test. They then called people up to interview. I'm not sure if it was random, or if they were trying to weed people out. I got called early on and interviewed with a rep. We went into a large space with several tables where everyone was interviewing. I couldn't hear anyone else. She asked me basic questions about my experience. I know that I did well because she told me I was going to the next round. If I didn't, I would have been escorted to the reception area. When I got back to the waiting room, it was pretty empty, so I'm guessing that they weed people out fairly quickly. I then took a computerized spelling and typing test before interviewing with another rep. Again, there were even fewer people around for this. She asked me more in-depth questions, but nothing difficult. Be sure to ask questions about the company! She then told me that they were setting me up to shadow a rep and interview with another HR person. I interviewed with her, and then went into the call center. It was clean and pretty quiet. After I shadowed with her, I then had another interview with the Branch Manager. This was very simple. I answered basic questions and for the most part just chatted. I then met with the HR manager, who told me that my potential start date would be in a few weeks. Of the 50 people who showed up, only 3 made it to be interviewed by the Branch Manager. As long as you are articulate, mention that you are organized and detail oriented, you should be fine. Also, WEAR A SUIT!!!! I knew from reading here that the dress code is intense. This is very true. A suit will make you stand out, and as a woman it is an absolute MUST. I cannot stress how important it is to wear a suit. So many people in my interview were wearing jeans, or even a nice blouse. All of these people left after the first round. Appearance here is important.

I was contacted 5 weeks after applying and a phone interview was set up for a week later. I was asked to complete 4 assessments that took 2 hours to do prior to the phone interview. Unfortunately this was wasted time as I determined during the phone interview that I was no longer interested in the position.

The process includes a phone interview followed by a series of tests that must be taken on site. The questions serve to show not who would do a good or better than good job, but who can identify the letter missing in a series of words or who can punctuate the email correctly. It's work akin to a personal assistant review, not a management role

Interview Questions
There were no questions that were specifically difficult. The process was just absurd.

Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – 2 of 2 found this helpful – Sat, 16 Aug 2014

Interviewed Jun 2014 in Breinigsville, PA(took 4+ weeks)
I applied on June 19th and received a call on the 20th to come in for a job fair they were holding on the following Friday. They emailed me information and asked that I filled out paperwork before coming to the job fair. When I arrived there was about 10-15 people waiting for the doors to open, we headed in and handed our paperwork to the HR girls so we could check in and we were given a packet and were told to have a seat at one of the tables. In this packet there are two numbers test. The first you need to guess which number comes next and the second is matching sets of numbers. You have 4 minutes for each test and have to answer as many questions as possible before time runs out. Once this is done they collect the test and have them "graded" then from there they start to call names one by one. As I was sitting there waiting for my name to be called I had seen some of the other's leaving within 5 minutes of going to talk to a recruiter. I was second to last to be called. From here I was given a walking tour of the warehouse and told more about the job description. I was asked what made me apply for ULINE and about my past jobs. After I was done talking to one person I was handed off to another, here I was taken on more of a walking tour of the warehouse and was asked more about myself and why ULINE. After that I was taken back out by the HR offices where I had another sit down with another person. The whole process took about 1 1/2 hours or so. I was told they would be in contact with me. I was called the following week to come in for a second interview where I met with two different warehouse managers and was able to see the actual production of what I would be doing. At the end of the interview I was asked if I wanted to come aboard and I agreed. I was called the following week to accept an offer with ULINE and was sent paperwork that needed to be filled out. The whole hiring/ interview process took about a month.

Had to take a few tests prior to interview. These took a little bit of time, so make sure you have an uninterrupted hour+. There was a personality test, writing test and 1 or 2 other tests. The one that stood out most was a personality test administered by a third party website. These are those UN-scientific test that a friend or family member sends to you for a joke or for fun. I've never seen this test or similar test given for a position. Worse part of this test (for me) was the result. Only you know yourself the best. The result given were far from who I am. For 2 separate tests, you had to copy & paste results into a MS Word document and MS Excel document. [Pro] Shows if you can follow directions [Con] Shows Uline is outdated as mentioned in many other postings Interview went well. Person that gave me my interview was friendly and professional. Usual questions, strengths, weaknesses, tell me about yourself are to be expected. Worse part was I found out that they are not even hiring for the position I interviewed for. This is my biggest complaint. Why waste my time and make me drive all the way out there? HR doesn't mind. They have a job and are getting paid to interview.

Uline has a distinct culture that should be understood before deciding to invest the time to interview with them. Good: They focus on the customer, nice corporate office, and work life balance Bad: The owner appears to have tight control (e.g. dictates the lights they use in the warehouse), very slow / resistant to change, and old school suit and tie culture. The multiple pre-interview tests will take 4-6 hours to complete (which they send in batches to not overwhelm the candidate).

Interviewed Aug 2014 in Waukegan, IL(took 2 weeks)
I started the interview process with a group of 10 other applicants. We were given two short wonderlic tests, and after that each applicant was called in for a one on one interview. If you passed the first interview round, you were led to a computer area where you were tested on your typing and spelling skills. After that, each applicant was called in for an interview with a manager. The entire process took close to two hours. They informed me that they would call or email me within 5 to 7 days to let me know of their decision.

Uline constantly has positions open but doesn't hire anyone. After applying you will receive a phone call the same or next day for an interview. They will send you four test: a personality test, 50 sales related questions, summarize a paragraph and another test. On interview day they will ask you to take two tests; number matching and pattern predicting. After that you will get interviewed. During that same week they will send you a letter saying "We found your qualifications to be impressive. However, at this time we have decided to pursue other candidates whose experience and background more closely match the requirements for the position. " Beware

The interview process consisted of two math test. Fairly easy. You have 4 minutes to complete each test. once the 4 minutes are up, interviewers will call your name for the face to face interview. My interview went well and I was very well qualified but unfortunately, i believe this company may be prejudice and discriminate towards women. For the warehouse associate position at least.

Met them at a career fair at my university. Was contacted within 48 hours to set up a phone interview for the next week. Basic questions, nothing difficult. Was then asked to set up a video conference interview two weeks later. Was not very difficult, she only asked me three or four questions--I actually had more questions for her. This was a phone interview (which are tricky as is), but they were vague, only went over things on my resume. I feel there could have been more personal questions about my experiences. The questions could have been answered by looking at my resume and when I went into extreme detail there was little to no feedback.
